Hi, can't comment on the Vango but I have owned my Kampa Croyde 6 for four years. So far as bring too big, well there's only two of us! We love the space it gives us and if the weathers bad there's still plenty of room. The tent has withstood 45mph winds 500ft above sea level so us pretty hardy. It takes us two approx an hour from opening the boot to sitting down with our first beer with everything set up (and we don't travel light by any stretch of the imagination). Also we have always been able to get on a standard sized pitch, do far we have never had to pay extra, once we did have to move our car across from the tent as it was tight to get us and the car within the pitch, we managed it but then the neighbours turned up with an even bigger tent and couldn't get their guys in with our car parked there.
Hope that's answered all your questions, any more just fire away
Again cant comment on the Vango but as with Debs I have owned a Kampa Croyde 6 and during ownership was very pleased with it. Infact I would go as far as saying it is the best value quality steel poled tent on the market. Kampa tents in general are of very good quality and I am now on my third one.
With regard to pitch size on Independently owned camp sites there is no such thing as a standard pitch size and they can vary greatly from site to site. Although really you shouldnt have any problems finding hundreds of sites that will accommodate the Croyde without any problem or added expense

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
