Hi all,

I've been looking for a front extension for my Khyam Indianna and can't find a suitable one.

I thought if I got hold of another Indianna, I could cut off the end and fashion a means of connecting it to the end my existing tent. This I would do by cutting the bedroom section off around the half way point, sewing a sleeve and threading shock cord through it. This would then go over the main tent pole and sleeve and be secured to the rings at the ends of the pole by a hook.

Has anyone ever seen this done? What are the issues envisaged with this plan?

I have sewing skills and have made my own canvas tent previously.

Any advice gratefully received.

I will take pictures.

I'm presently looking for another tent to fit. I went to Go Outdoors today to get ideas. The concept seems sound enough.

I'm also adding two side porches too. One as a toilet, the other as a protected entrance. I might even add a sun awning too.

I envisage a large living space when completed.

If anyone has a Khyam they are willing to donate I'm interested.

Years ago I sewed two tents together with a treadle sowing machine. They were frame tents with good old fashioned thick canvas. It worked for me. I sewed an extra large plastic window in also. Don't know if it will work with modern tents.
