Oh that's fine then, I will look in to a bigger tent as we definitely don't want to feel overcrowded.

You are doing the right thing, imo. Totally agree with what Brickiemum said.
EDIT:
No idea what happened to that quote!

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
My OH still thinks the kalahari 10 is a bit excessive for the two of us and 2 kids aged 5 and 3 but as she's the one who complains the most whenever her sleep is interrupted I tend to disagree
Ditto to what has been said, buy the right sized tent for you, based on what you need, it will be the constant in your camping, then find the site that can accomodate you at the right price.
The tent will pay for it'self, there are plenty of sites out there that won't charge you for bigger tents.
You are right about the cost of the site though, that is something that will effect you each time you go. But i wouldn't worry about spending a bit more on a slightly larger/better tent as the cost of this will be spread over future holidays.
Maybe consider second hand or pre-owned as it is called now, you could get a tent that under normal circumstances you couldn't afford

Yeah i think we have realised now that if we buy the right tent 1st time it will last us years. I would rather pay a little more now to not have to buy a tent once our children are a bit bigger.

If most sites are fine with it we wont have any problems. We obviously don't mind paying extra once in a while but to pay nearly every time would take away the benefits of camping. We have decided to look at bigger tents and may have found one
We got the tape measure out and put the sizes out in our living room and its actually 1.5 metres longer haha. We realised then that we do need something like that.

We have a Kali 10 just for the 2 of us.queen air bed in just one end bedroom and the rest of the tent for tables chairs etc.

Well I bought the Vango Tigris 800, after putting the measurements on our living room floor we feel that is plenty big enough as it doesn't fit in the room we all spend the most time in :D
