Currently own a Vango Alpha 5 man tent and lookin to upgrade to something bigger that we can stand up in. We currently only use the tent for Glastonbury but now looking to go on holidays with my wife and dog. So something with a bigger living area is preferable.
Our budget is around £200 and ideally we would like one with the bedrooms at one end. We missed out on the massive reductions on the Icarus 600 and have seen that the Vango Icarus 500 has been reduced at Go Outdoors to £169.
Is it worth buying the Icarus 500 at this price? Are there any alternatives to Vango? Our Alpha has been brilliant and not leaked once in the 7 years we've used it. Is it worth spending a bit more (£225) and buying the Isis 600?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is a big investment for us and I haven't got a clue about other brands.

The Icarus is a fab tent, we have the Skye 400 as we needed a smaller tent to dry in our garden. Friends have just bought the offer from go outdoors and I know will love it.
We have just thought the Icarus 500 from go. But we decided to buy the lot as then the extension was 'free'. £299 I think and footprint, tent, carpet and porch/extension.
Not used it yet need to test pitch it soon, it is for weekends - there are 5 of us so friendly, but no.3 is only 2 so small.
Don't think you need a footprint but for us no.2 had new school trousers in Sept. X 4. He is now down to 1 pair as he 'cut' a hole in 2 pairs with scissors and his teacher didn't notice (age 6). Another pair he fell over and tiny hole - he pulled it and now big enough to drive a bus through. Now wearing shorts!

Went onto GO and the tent has gone back up to the RRP. Looking at the cashback through Quidco at 10% + 6% brings the Isis 600 down to £210ish. Going to give that one a try.
I went to GO yesterday to check out the Icarus 500, because I saw it was reduced. Obviously I was too late, but when I got talking to the tent guy he said if I was still interested in the tent or the full package, he could do it for the sale price. So it may be worth asking.
I have just bought the 500 package for 300quid, even though the sale ended Tuesday. Just spoke with the sales guy who checked with his boss and he agreed to the deal. That's the tent, awning, footprint and carpet.
