I am looking for some information on a tent that has been offered to me that I believe may have been made by Cabanon in the mid 1980's.

The neighbour who is selling it said it is a 'light weight canvas' which was very popular with motorbikers, like himself, due to the small light pack size (canvas only weights 9KG, pole extra). The tent itself is not labeled Cabanon or CGI but 'Apache'. However, the bag the canvas is stored in is marked with the CGI logo and reads Pyramide IV Legere.

I have spent hours trawling the Internet looking for information on this tent but can't find anything. Cabanon 'Apache' only comes up in relation to caravan awnings.

I have tried to attached 3 photographs in the hope they will help. The last one shows the Apache logo.

Many thanks x

Hi, yes I think it was made by Cabanon. I have a smaller tent, ridge with square front/porch that has the same label on, Apache. It is a lighter weight cotton and my model is the Jaguar(much smaller than yours).

I too struggled to find any info, as you say, the name Apache is used solely for their awnings.
I emailed Cabanon, and they replied to say, they had no records / catalogues as they'd moved factories and they'd been lost/cleared out. She said they did produce tents under the name Apache and she thought it was in the nineties. I do think mine may be slightly earlier though.
It looks a great tent if you need less weight/pack size. These lighter versions seem to be relatively expensive new. I think Esvo make a lightweight pyramid still, but it's pricey!
Have you been able to see it to check the condition? Great that it has the canopy with it.

it is an Apache as it says on the label and Apache are part of the CGI Cabanon group

Apache still make caravan awnings and porch awnings and they are sold as Apache by Cabanon

so it is made by Cabanon

new to this site, and reviving an old thread...
just got hold of an Apache pyramid tent just like in dib-dib-dib's pictures.
When I saw the ad for this tent, I thought it looked very much like the Cabanon Pyramid Legere IV that I already own (and love). But like the op, I could not find anything linking Apache to Cabanon for certain.
So I went to check the tent out. Indeed it is identical to the Cabanon, apart from the colour. It even has the same handwriting on the sacks stating the type.
As it was in very good nick and not too expensive, I am now the proud owner of a green Cabanon and a grey Apache. Now the question is what to do with two tents... I'll figure something out.

Open the inner tent up, look to the right side of the inner tent as you go in, you will find all the tent specs on cloth pages there.
All tents have data sheets there.

Enjoy the liveliness of the syntax.

Hi, in search of some information about a tent I found your comment. You mention you have an Apache Jaguar.. do you possible know the measurements of it?
The seller of the tent only provides one photo with the tent packed and says he is not interested in unpacking it.
Has yours got an awning?
Any information would be greatly helpful..
