I am a Khyam convert but my latest purchase, a large XXL type rigi-pod made with nylon, has been leaking. I've sealed the seams, I know about condensation and I 'Fabsiled' it last year. In heavy rain the water just seeps through the material. It doesn't seem to have a lamination on the inside so there are no signs of de-lamination.
I don't want to spend a lot on this 2nd hand tent but would like to give the Thompsons water Seal or Barrettines Water seal a go, partly because it's a cheaper option than Fabsil, but also because it may work better.
On searching the forums it seems Thompsons may have changed and on the can it doesn't say you can use it on 'canvas'/nylon anymore.
Does anyone know exactly which product I could use, from either make, and have you had personal experience of it's success?
.....before I give up on this tent altogether....
