What are your views on the Kalahari and Zenobia,like the vis a vis style and option of a porch but they have what I call bendy poles. How are they for strength ?

We have the kalahari 8 and have been happy with the way it stood up to weather, you may find some better examples in the tent reviews. We had poles snap in very bad weather in our previous tunnel tent but no problem replacing them.
