Well we've been out in the Mira 500 now and love it, its a great tent with loads of space, very happy.
The only slight niggle I have is the divide in the bedroom pods is only toggled in, so more like a flimsy curtain than an actual divide. I did wonder however if a strip of self adhesive Velcro at the bottom, and maybe on the side would fix the issue, or would it cause damage to the tent in some way?

Any ideas from anyone would be much appreciated.

Hmmm what do you hope to achieve by having it more secure round the edges though? We don't use it, we took ours down but you'd still be able to hear through it and just about see through it for it to make any reasonable amount of difference to your privacy?

Not really mine or the wife's privacy, more to give our 2 young girls a little bit more privacy really. Sleeping with your folks when your 9 seems to be the worst thing in the world these days. So I guess rather than making more privacy, I just thought it would make it appear to be 2 separate rooms, for the benefit of little minds.

As I took the divider out right away I can't remember if it attaches direct to the tent or if there was like a border round the tent it attaches too. I suppose you could use Velcro if there was a border to attach it to (just read that back and it doesn't make sense). Sorry I'm not much help. Hope you manage to work something out.

I have a Vango Icarus with the same sort of arrangement and I know there's nowhere really to attach Velcro. You'd need to have the curtain a bit longer and a bit wider than it is to have something to attach the velcro to, as it is you might pull the toggles out at the top if you force it. To be honest if this is a deal breaker then look again at another tent with a zip in divide or a separate bedroom pod. There is a Sunncamp Shadow that had actual separate toggle in pods, one of which could be taken away to increase living space. Amazon have it at just under £200.

Unfortunately tent buying can mean compromising somewhere.

Another option is to get a pup tent if one of the girls is old enough to have her own 'palace' outside.

To be honest I'm sure we'll be fine, we all enjoyed it and we really like the tent. I just thought I'd ask, you never know if anyone has had any solutions you'd never of thought of.

My 10 year old son thinks that sleeping with us is the best thing ever. We ditched the flimsy divide and sleep with him in the middle. Maybe it's a boy thing or maybe he is just odd

That's a good idea, I might try just ditching the divide altogether, that way no arguments.

Personally I prefer not having a zip diving the bedrooms completely as it means that I can use the bedrooms how I want with airbeds where I want on different trips (now my teen daughter occassionally does not join us).

I did see one of the Vango universal bedroom today. I thought it was a fab idea to put in the living area if you have room or in your case even in the kids bedroom section perhaps - of there is room,

That's an awesome looking idea, might have to get one to keep for later.
