Used to have a cheap ridge tent with full standing height. Very light quick and easy to put up. Would like to find a tent like the lichfield challenger which would be very similar. Anyone got one of these for sale but must be in good condition. If not can you help with suggestion for an alternative. Are any of the festival tepee tent suitable. We need a tent around 6ft height, very light and easy which would comfortably sleep 2.

Thank you for suggesting the Coleman instant tourer. It looks good. We would prefer a little higher but it is a good possibility. When we camped as a family we used to have a Khyam, now there are just the two of us the lighter and easier to put up the tent, the better. Are any of the tepee style tents worth considering. They have good head height and light and easy to put up but may not withstand the elements so well.
Thank for your advice it is much appreciated.
I have the Lichfield Challenger 5 and actually still use it. The Challenger is in my profile pic and was taken last summer. I have a few pole and sleeve tents and one of the things I like about the ridge tent is that you do not have to feed poles through any sleeves. It seems to me the design of having upright poles makes sense but there's not much like it now - if anything.
Except one. After plenty of searching I've got a Gelert Cabana 4 and I'm only home an hour or so after a weekends camp in it. It's my second time using it (solo camping) in about a month. I have one with a black and swirly grey design on it. I got in in Sports Direct on sale. There is a two man version but I wouldn't even consider that as I was happy in the four man.
Three poles, one big tall one a bit like a tepee. A five to 8 minute pitch time. I only wish it had windows.
If you do consider one there is one slight mod I've had to make to it. The point were the inner hitches to the main pole at the top means the inner pulls the sides of the tent up. It was easily rectified by using two carbinners to extend the length of the clip. A bit of guy rope would do the same thing.
