I've found both our Kampa bags to be quite generous in size, in all honesty. Get the rolled tent slightly narrower than the bag width, of course, and once it's in, the bag is rather baggy/loose fitting.
As for the process... (I used to fold each (side) edge to the middle, but someone on here advised (wisely) that that leaves all the ring and pins tightly packed in the middle of the rolled tent, offering slightly more chance of the pins stabbing the tent and or SIG, so now I...) fold it in half, one (side) edge all the way over to the opposite edge. Then fold in half again.
So we now have the tent a quarter of the width, but still full length.
(At this stage, if in doubt, check the width against the width of the bag).
Now simply roll from the rear (bedroom end) towards the front sloping door, as tight as poss.
Open out the bag, shove it over the rolled tent, (which now has only the underside of the SIG on show) like a shower cap, then invert the whole lot, tent and bag, and pull the sides of the bag top together, and zip up the loose fitting bag in one easy smooth operation! :-)
Remember, the more doors/windows/vents left open once laid out flat (covers hanging loose/zips undone) the more air will be expelled when rolling up, making the actual roll tighter/smaller.
Never had a problem with either tent, in all honesty.
Obviously, mine is a Frinton 4, but I presume, although yours is a 5, and therefore presumably bigger (wider?), your bag will be sized accordingly!
I'm under the impression that quite a lot of tunnel tents require this method, although some may need to be folded in such a way so as the (pre-rolled) width is slightly narrower than a quarter (of it's full width), to suit the length of the bag. In which case, my aforementioned original method may be applicable, (Ring & Pins to the middle) but overlapping the edges in the centre, rather than them just "meeting up".
*In the time it's taken me to write that, I could have actually done it in reality... twice!!

Thanks so much Mucker - helpful as always. Here's what we did: starting with the tent collapsed and flat on the deck
Open all doors and side zips; try to arrange plastic windows as flat as poss; lay ring and pins flat facing along edge of tent.
Then, fold over in half, i.e. take all the pins across to their friends ! BUT stop short with one edge about a foot short of the lower one. Then fold over again. Now check that the pins are laying along the edges .
Why stop short? Because when you do the next fold, the whole package moves and ends up neatly in position, i.e. edge to edge
Now OH lies full length across the folded tent and rolls her/ himself over and over along the folded tent (Hmmm this needs a video). Gives you a giggle and gets all the air out of the package. Having had a giggle at OH's expense, now its your/ my turn to repeat the process and have a roll along too. You should now have a relatively flat laying tent. Now go to the closed, i.e. bed pod end and roll all the way to the other end. Then pop bag over the top as you suggested and flip the package .
Seriously, did this a couple of times and got it so much more compact tun before . If you don't roll along or get the air out by some means, its quite a struggle to get a really compact package ready for its bag. Fits in the bag a treat now, and I know the pins down one side are laying neatly and not causing harm.
I guess the same process would work well for the Filey and many other similar tunnel tents.
Erm the partners rolling along bit works well in prolonged dry weather - we've yet to try it on a damp groundsheet complete with slugs and bugs and mud......

Hi,
We take the inners out, fold them up and put them in a black bin liner (keeps them dry if it's raining packing up or next time you unpack).
Leave the side door open, and bottom of front door, then fold the tent in half taking the side without a door across to that with the door - so all the pins are now along the outer edge. If air is trapped, lift up the material over the door so it can escape.
Next you fold into thirds - bring the central side in first by 1/3, then the whole lot over again, so it's all folded over to where pins are and should be about the width of the bag. Then roll from the back (bedroom end) to the front.
This should fit in the bag easily, with the inners going on top.
It's the folding in thirds that makes the difference, if you fold the Frinton 5 into quarters it's too bulky and too narrow.
Cheers,
Steve
