Hi, newbie here & first post! Over-excited about our new Quechua 4.2 tent and ALL the camping essentials we have purchased (even forfeited birthday presents for camping bits) but have one final query...we've bought the tarp and see from a lot of campers pictures that they are using more than the 2 poles it comes with? Is there any need for more than the 2? ☺️

It depends how you went to set it up. Extra king poles are not hugely expensive if you want to get some more.

Hi Spanna. Welcome to the forum.

There's no NEED for more poles, but there's certainly more versatility with additional poles. Different set ups, more all-round head room etc. There are obvious limitations with "just" the two poles. The size and shape of the tarp itself comes into play, too. A large 4m square tarp, for example, would be best sat on 6, or even 8 poles, imo.
