Hello all, long time lurker from Ireland here with a question, we have been thinking about getting an air tent for quite a while but there is little choice in Ireland, I came across a couple of good offers for the Kampa Filey Air 5 on a couple of UK camping websites with shipping to Ireland but before I order I was wondering if anyone knows if the single bedroom can be unzipped to join the double bedroom, from the description it sounds like it can but I can't find any images on line to be sure this is the case. Thanks X

A quick google shows a single dotted line. I'm under the impression that infers a removable divider, so it's looking good. A double dotted line, I believe, infers "separate rooms".
I also found this in one retailers description:
"
Created with multiple occupancy in mind, the Filey 5 Air offers an attractive 2 2 1 bedroom set up which can be altered to give 1 or 2 large bedroom spaces as required."
I'd take that as meaning "1 large bedroom" = full width - 5 berth, or "2 large rooms" = 3 + 2... in addition to the 2 + 2 + 1, of course.
I think you'll be ok... but I would advise waiting further confirmation from someone who actually knows!!
Thanks for reply Mucker, it does seem like it can be altered alright, but because I can't see tent in person before I buy it I just want to be sure, I would prefer to get the Filey Air 6 but I think it may be too big for us, we are 2 adults and 1 child with my daughters friend sometimes coming too, the pack size is also a consideration, although I not sure there is much of difference between pack size of the 5 and 6 and what we have already which is an Outwell Montana 6 and extension. Thanks X
If it's not too late I can tell you that the single sleeping room can be fully removed. There are pictures on the net that show it removed, and Winfields have on up and we looked at it at the weekend. We are interested in an air tent too but can't decide which way to go.
Thanks Lise212 thanks for the reply. I came across the Vango Inspire 500 on the internet at the weekend and think I have fallen in love, but its the same story again I wont be able to see it or even buy it here in Ireland.
