I hope all of you who had issues with the filey have got sorted out now and your money back.
I couldnt get my money back from outdoor megastore they would only give me a credit instead for the full amount plus a bit for my ruined hol.
I ended up getting an outwell georgia 5P and two kayaks.
the georgia is a realiy strong tent we have used it three times since september and Im glad we bought it.
We were lucky as not long after I got my refund outdoor went into administration which was a shame as I quite liked them and thought the customer service was quite good.
Heres to ne new camping season Im off to St Ives in two weeks happy camping guys
After we swapped from the Filey 6 Air (Fileys - we went through 3) to a Vango Evoque we had a trouble free year. Only issue we have now is finding campsites that can accommodate the Evoque and front awning! I should say thanks to Gary from Cross Camping for sorting us out - both with exchanges, refund and the new set up.
Looking at the reviews for the Filey, it would appear that many had issues - a shame as our original (poled) Filey 6 was a great tent. It looks like Kampa have gone for the individual beams this year - but we won't be going back to them.
Happy Camping in 2015 - making our first bookings now.
Steve.
------------- 2015:

- Farm Park, Cotswolds

I bought a Kampa Filey Air 6 in 2013 and have had nothing but problems with it.
Zips getting stuck and having to get people to get me out the tent and leaking with huge puddles at the base of every pole.
My tent has already gone back to Kampa who insist it is just condensation but they stated they had to change a pole as it was perished.
I have used this tent twice since and overtime it rains it leaks, it is not condensation at all. The retailer are refusing to refund me based on Kampa's inspection and therefore I am going through the small claims court.
I would be extremely grateful to Stevegriffiths, Cessna, funky2sarah, jw7a28, Spent, Tyler119 if they could please email me with the details of their issues with this tent and their outcome for me to take into court. If you contact the admin of this site, they will pass on my email address.
I would also like to hear from Jim1977 about where he got the information on this dodgy batch of tents please?
I feel I'm taking a huge risk going to court against the retailer but this tent is just unusable in heavy rain and I feel I need all the evidence I can to back up my claim.
If anyone else can help me with this issue please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be eternally grateful.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
