We are currently staying at Rivendale in Derbyshire (lovely site!!) and we have had a number of people stop and tell us how great our tent is. They particularly liked the front porch area. To quote one couple "we have serious tent envy". We are the only polycotton tent on the site and I am thrilled that our tent has drawn admiring glances! Isn't it great when fellow campers admire your set up?

Well, it is a very nice tent you have there.

Last year I told a Dutch couple how nice their tent was (De Waard) they were thrilled and showed me around, got its life story (where they got it, how much, the lot!) which for a tent-aholic like me was heaven

I should bloody think so!! It's a very handsome tent!!

If I could just get away from the office, I'd have been tempted to pop up and give it a stroke myself... even if you'd gone out!!

I have shown caravanners around our old tent before (Vermont XL) and saw them gape open mouthed at the space inside. Their children also said "So you don't have to get the beds out each night...they are there all the time?"

I also woke up one morning to hear two men discussing the tents features in great detail. Had to stuff my pillow in my mouth to stop laughing!

I'm sure the Familia will always draw a crowd as it's something different to the usual. Have fun Shimmsie, it's going to give you years of lovely holidays.

We are looking forward to our first trip out in the Shangri La soon. A three night camp to make sure we are set for France again. Hope at least one person gives the tent an admiring glance!
