If so, (bit of a silly question) but what do you do... Eg cycling or just walking, or what?
Yes, I usually camp on my own. I look for areas of scenic or historical interest, beaches, canals, rivers, lakes, monuments, old houses, castles etc; then look for a campsite within walking distance of whatever I have gone to see.
On the first day after setting up I will go for a walk locally. Mainly just a quick reconnoitre...and to check out the local hostelries for my evening meal/drink. That evening I will find a local pub, have a meal, and usually manage to find a local inhabitant or two who, over a pint, will tell me the best places to go and what to see and do.
The next day, usually after a nice cooked breakfast at a local cafe or pub, I go off in earnest to spend the day walking the area, taking photos, and generally enjoying the scenery, the area and whatever interesting things I find to do. Lunch somewhere nice.
Back to the tent late afternoon for a rest and wash before out in the evening for another meal and a pint. Then back for an early night ready for the morning departure.
Sometimes the initial reconnoitre on day one turns out to be enough time to see all I want to see or all there is to see (some places can be very disappointing) and then I may only stay the one night.
