Have just done a review of this tent after spending a night in it during some wild and wet weather.
Stayed at the Duloch campsite in Fife that I thought was amazing and also reviewed.
Anyway after a few hours of heavy rain we had two small leaks at the stitching near the bottom of the front door zip. This seemed to have sealed itself up after an hour or so. Should I add some seam sealer to be safe?
Also in the morning the inside of the flysheet above the sleeping area was really wet with condensation with a couple of small 2 inch puddles on the groundsheet.
Is this normal in regards to the weather we experienced or should a polycotton tent breath better than that?
Note that we had all the vents open to allow for as much airflow as we could. don't have any experience with polycotton so not sure what to expect.
We got the tent new from the fleabay at a great price considering the spec and material and was really a taster to polycotton before spending a substantial amount on our dream Outwell Tent.

Hi
As the tent has sat in its bag for 4 or 5 years you may find that its not condensation but the fabric letting in a small amount of water as the fabric seals itself. Dont use a seam sealer on it as you may find next time out you dont have any problems with it.If you do then spraying the seam with Fabsil or similar will cure it. With poylcotton the more times they get wet the better they seal (within reason)and if the stay dry for too long they need weathering again
