Hi All

We have an Outwell Montana 6p and we love it. I just wish it had a shelter under which we could hide when the weather isn't great (All 4 of our trips so far have included quite a lot of rain!) and more importantly that we can cook under. I really don't want to cook inside the tent.

The official front extension seems very expensive and doesn't look to add a great deal of space.

My question is, does anyone have any alternative ideas on how to provide some shelter for our tent?

Cheers

Buy the awning thats a lot bigger but guess what more expensive than the Extension but cheaper used off Gumtree Ebay etc. You could always use a tarp as a cheaper option or even an Outwell Sun Canopy if tou can find one on Ebay

Thanks for that.

I've seen some pictures of people using the Outwell Canopy on the Montana and I like the way it looks but it also looks like they are quite hard to find.

I don't want the awning though, that thing is massive!

Hi
We have Montana 6 (2011) with a (2010) awning it fits perfect and adds lots of extra space we have a cooker stand tall cupboard and large table and chairs in ours and still room to move! The front can be fully unzipped like the extension, it's worth the extra money we were lucky and found ours on eBay £110! I must admit until we pitched I was worried it might not fit as it was an older model but as I said above perfect fit.
How this helps a little happy camping
Fi
