Oh my goodness, just bought a new tent..after a disatarous camp quite a few years ago swore I wouldn't camp again (to say it was a week of wet is understating it..and the uphill climb to the toilets every dayy!) Got a folding camper, which was lovely but didn't use it enough due to kids commitments so sold that after a few years.
Now thinking now we would perhaps plump for hotels etc now the kids are older and don't necessarily want to come with us. WRONG!! Got carried away by sunshine and outdoors and have bought a Vango Icarus 500 for us and the dog....can feel freedom blowing in the wind! :-)
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Got an Icarus 500 here as well....Never had a problem with it except for the extended porch blowing down in gale force winds that sprung up suddenly in Glencoe!!
Get it up for a test pitch and inspection as soon as you can before using it on site...Puts your mind at rest that the parts are all there...And that the tent is functional !!!!

We have the Icarus 400 and have loved camping in it. We've had torrential rain, gales, hot sun, and it's survived the lot. It's the best, although ours is nearly worn out I'll say RIP to it with very fond memories
Tried it out this weekend, was fab (tho good weather helped!) Just myself and him, for the first time ever (always been accompanied by 3 kids and dog!) Was lovely, peaceful and ate out in pub...glamping! Not sure could put it away myself though...agree with Lyds1...but practise will no doubt make perfect. Was lovely to camp again, forgotten how enjoyable and relaxing could be (tho helped that we didn't have kids, dogs or much cooking!)
