I am quite impressed by the Harrier XL

Only thing is, I was watching a You Tube vid of a guy erecting one and it put quite a strain on his back, which is the main thing I would hope to avoid by buying an inflatable tent.
I don't think it takes a lot of effort to inflate the tent but it looks like the pump is low to the ground causing a stance which produces back strain.
Does anyone know if possible to use an alternative pump, preferably electric so one can stand back with a glass of wine and watch the tent go up.

Hi, you can get the Bravo BP12 12 volt pump on eBay, amazon etc. I've pitched our Harrier XL 4 times now using the hand pump and it does make the back ache after a long drive in the car to the site. The other interesting thing about that You Tube video is that the tent goes up in about 60 pumps and springs up. Mine did the first time too, but every time since it has taken more like 100 - 130 pumps and has to be pushed up from inside rather than springing up (or the beams just kink and sag). Others on here have made a similar observation. There are no leaks as once up it stays up, and the pump is working dual action as it should, so just factor in that you may have to put in twice the effort as that chap did if you go the manual route :)

Thanks. Great stuff!! It would definitely be the 12v pump for me with manual as a standby.
I'm doing my tent research now but don't intend to buy until early 2015.
So far the HArrier XL is looking perfect for us. Would be nice if it was a bit cheaper but you can't have it all.
Jim, I would hope to use the Harrier for weekends too. In your experience is it easy enough and fast enough to erect to be a practical weekend tent?

Thanks

George
