Hi,
We're looking at the above tent. I'm reading lots about the Icarus being replaced, or the colour being changed next year. Is now a good time to try and get a deal buying the tent and porch extension together? Will shops be trying to clear their 2014 stock of these tents? I guess if I don't buy the extension this year I'm going to struggle to find it next year?
Go Outdoors is doing a bundle deal on the 600, but we think the 800 will suit our family better. If I'm cheeky, what are the chances they match the bundle discount with the bigger tent?!

Judging by a number of posts looking for items such as carpets and footprints for older Vango models I would suggest getting what you think you need before too long.
Think about footprints and carpet also.
If you find that there are items you don't use, I'm sure you wont have too much trouble selling them in the future.
That's exactly what we decided to do
Bought the tent, extension, carpet and footprint for the 800 and despite my best attempts couldn't get them to do me a deal. But I figured if there was a chance we'd want it, we should buy them now.
First outing last weekend was a great success. Think we need more practice pitching the porch extension but overall very happy with our purchase!
How easy is the porch extension to fit? I have a side canopy for my pole tent and it's a right faff and one of the reasons why we've gone for the Icarus Air 800, it gives us the ease of pitching and a lot more room but we still like the idea of the canopy for the kitchen area. Does it zip to the main tent?

It was pretty easy to pitch but I think we'll do a much better job second time round next week!
It doesn't attach to the main tent so you can end up with a gap down the sides. The important thing is to make sure it's centred over the main tent door so any rain just runs down the side of the main tent.
