Hi everyone, this is my first post on this fantastic forum. I've looked through the forums to see if this topic has been covered and it doesn't appear to have been.

I'm looking for an Awning that would fit my 2011 Monty 6. I had the original but it was damaged irreparably compliments of Hurricane Bertha last week. Now the 2011 awning is as rare as hens teeth I was wondering whether anyone knows whether the newer versions (e.g. 2014) would fit the 2011 Monty? Or perhaps one of the other Outwell tent models perhaps? I'm not concerned about colour matching or style differences, just a good fit - as draft free as possible. I do actually have the extension too - but of course it's open to the elements.

Advice and suggestions would be gratefully received!

Thanks!

P.s. I want to keep the existing tent, not do a complete replacement.

Look on Ebay - we got ours from there last year, but to be honest we are thinking of getting an Coleman Event shelter and some sides instead as it will offer more flexibility! We found when we attached the awning (the fully enclosed one)the side porch door was incredibly tight and difficult to open. We use the porch for the loo at night so trying to get into it quietly and easily was of importance to us .

Just another short, Gary of Cross Camping who posts on here may have one or know of one somewhere for you! Worth a shot maybe?!

Thanks samtheman - yes, I've been looking on ebay (plus everywhere else that Google suggested) and the (2011) awnings are really hard to find - I only found one and that was damaged. Also there's no information on awning compatibility other than what people have been saying on various forums - but there's nothing specific enough (closest I came was someone trying to fit a 2011 extension to a 2014 Montana 6P - I'd want to be doing it the other way round if anything)

But thanks for the heads-up on Gary of Cross Camping, I'll certainly give him a try.

Much obliged.

Hi skavamareen,

This may be an option as it work's well for us. We wanted an enclosed extension on our BL6 for the kitchen odds and ends and whilst the side or larger front canopy type extension are big enough we didn't like them being open. So, having looked at sizes etc we grabbed an Outwell Country Road drive away awning that is intended to be used with a camper van. However with it pitched next to the BL the tunnel connection section of the awning, normally used to connect to the camper van, fits perfectly against the side of the BL and I have simply extended the top 2 fixing straps and added 2 C clips so it now connects to the 2 upright poles either side of the side door of the tent.

Now we have an enclosed kitchen area with its own door out plus room to eat in there if its raining plus it can be closed off from the main tent.
