We have just cut short a camping trip in our Filey Air 6 having been washed out with a very leaky tent indeed.
This was only its second use from new having already cancelled one trip whilst it was back with Kampa being re- water proofed. Obviously this treatment failed during the bank holiday weekend rain. I am currently waiting to here back from Winfields regarding what we do next. I really do not have any faith in the product at all and wish we had stuck with Vango. Unfortunately I liked the Kampa features a little more but should have listened to other's here who raised concerns about water leaking at the airbeam bases.
Really sorry to hear of your problems, we have just had a full refund on our Filey 6 Air for very similar problems. I suggest you talk to the supplier and apply the Sale of Goods Act, a new tent that leaks is clearly not fit for purpose.
Waiting for the Outwell Montana 5P to arrive, with an awning we will have a similar living space.
Thanks for the info. WinfieldsOutdoors have so far been accommodating but we will see. I certainly do not want another one and have requested a full refund.
I had been put off the outwell because of the width and will probably go back to Vango. Had a Maritsa 700 previously and the Filey 6 was the nearest AirBeam I could find. No rush to get a new one now as the season is pretty much over unless we get the so called Indian Summer that's being talked about...
Please do use sales of goods act to get a refund, although you have had a fixed it's clearly failed and therefor not fit for purpose...especially if it leaks when it rains!!
We too have returned out filey 6 which we brought in April and have gone for a Vermont XLP.
Kampa are very aware of the problems, they admitted to me that the pump isn't fit for purpose on email and that it s been redesigned.
Good luck
