Hi, we have just purchased a 2009/10 Outwell poly cotton tent which has supposedly only been used about 4 times for a week each time, do you think that I should waterproof it before putting it away until next year? I have read a lot of conflicting advice about waterproofing and wonder is someone could advise. Thank you in advance.

... or as you're planning on putting it away until next year, I'd get it up in the garden first, and give it a good soaking with the hose.
If it don't leak it's fine. "If it ain't broken..." and all that. 4 weeks use should not give cause for concern, if it's been well looked after, and stored correctly (Clean and dry!).
Just make sure it's bone dry again, of course, before bagging it up for the winter... and that includes guys and straps etc.
