Hi - I spent some time in Crealy (Devon) where we camped for a couple of nights. On their site they have medieval tents you can hire out. I wonder if anyone knows where these tents are made or purchased from?

My brother and I have a small campsite in Malvern, in Worcestershire and I'd quite like to get something similar as they are great for larger groups or families.

If you Google "Medieval Tents" it will come up with loads of places that manufacture them.

I saw one of these tents at the Berkshire show at the weekend:

It was stunning. Talking to the chap there he told me that they quoted for the crealy job but someone else went in and built identical tents.

We stayed in one of the medieval tents last year for a weekend. The tents were very good, but very noisy if windy. We only had a slight wind, nothing strong, but the noise the canvas made flapping kept us all awake all night. Never been kept awake in a normal tent!
