Hi all we rnew to camping have enjoyed a couple of trips this year and we have really enjoyed it ,so plan to start getting some extra bits.
We have a Kalahari 10 tent (blue one) and we looking at getting a footprint for it .i have read on other posts about just buying a cheap tarp and cutting it slightly shorter by an inch or two. the question being would you have an issue with these if a campsite requires a breathable groundsheet.
also any recommendations on what to use as a carpet as the Kalahari is now green and have no matching carpets left.
many thanx in advance Chris
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
No campsite requires a breathable groundsheet/footprint for tents as most these days come with sewn in groundsheets and that would be impossible.
With regards to the carpet, take the measurements of the area you wish to cover and look for carpets of a similar size and colour but different makes, or, use picnic rugs.
My tent is green and I bought green tartan picnic rugs.
being grey= hide muck!! i just use a cheap tarp too. just ordered a vango tempest 200. will buy a tarp to fit when she arrives. i`d use a waterproof rug to be honest.
