We currently camp in an Outwell Oakland M with a birdland extension but think that maybe now is the right time to jump in with both feet and get a polycotton tent.
Perhaps unusually we don't want a huge tent and we really like the look of the Nomad Dogon 3 Air. The only problem is Taunton Leisure aren't stocking them anymore. We saw some other Nomad tents in France last year and they look well designed and well manufactured from the outside anyway.
We're a bit nervous about spending all that money on something we've never seen so we're looking for some answers to these questions:
1. Are Nomad tents good? (I've looked at the reviews for some of their other tents which would suggest so)
2. Does anyone have a dogon and if so what's it like?
3. Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that stocks them?
4. Is there something else of a similar size we should be looking at? (Don't like the current Outwells for various reasons)
Thanks for your help

I can't help with Nomad I'm afraid but here are a couple of alternatives that you might think worth considering.
Slightly bigger, but quite a bit cheaper (£530) isObelink Hypercamp Trail 400. Like Nomad, Oblelink are a Dutch company. Quite a few members have bought their tents now and almost all are more then happy with the quality and the low shipping costs and fast service. I had an Avantgarde, which was the same polly cotton as the Trail and was really impressed. The material is 185 gr and feels much nicer than the Outwell alternatives. Well worth a look if you are happy with a slightly bigger tent.
The second option is almost the same size as the Nomad, but a bit more expensive. The De Waard Brilduiker is also a 3 man tent like the Nomad. It is made from De Waards technical cotton (polly cotton) just like the Nomad. It's a bit more expensive at €999 but they often have incentives and sometimes sell returns etc well below list price. Worth talking to them if you are interested - also, because De Waards are quite rare in the UK I don't think you would have any trouble selling in the future.
