Hi
Last year I bought a new Outwell Concorde M and took it round europe for 3 weeks. I don't need the full extension as mostly spending time outdoors. Was trying to see how I could retrofit a sun canopy using the zip on the front...and hey presto, Outwell have brought one out on their 2015 model.
I wrote to them and they recommended not to fit the 2015 sun canopy with the 2014 tent, but it wasn't clear why. Anyone know why it wouldn't work (e.g. zip size different?) or the risks involved??
many thanks

As far as I know the canopy from this years model isn`t available on its own ( unless they told you different ), if it is, watch this space and I`ll let you know , green and mocha could be a nice combination
My understanding is that there are 2 separate zips, one for the awning which zips all the way around, and one just along the top to attach the new canopy. Last years tent will only have the awning zip so I don't think you could attach the canopy as the start of the zip will be at ground level. I very much doubt Outwell will be selling just the canopy on the basis that it cannot be retrofitted for the above reason.

No the 2015 won't fit and won't be supplied as a retro fit.
I am now retired from this forum.
Good luck everyone.
Thanks Gary after speaking to you today I understand why
In all the years I've been here you've never advertised once

Thanks everyone for your advice, i understand much better why outwell say it won't fit.
Thanks Gary for your help, you helped me choose this tent last year also and gave advice on gear, i really appreciate it.
Anyone know how i can retrofit a large porch for the concorde m? Last year in italy and croatia, we cooked under tarps externally as had torrential rain for a few days, but got fedup with the tarp collapsing, filling with water etc...

Maybe something that will stand over the front like a Coleman event shelter, or even the front extension for the tent, may be some cheaper stock now the colour has changed
