Well not the best start.

The Vango 600 Euphoria arrived, I opened the huge cardboard box and found one of the straps that went around the bag was seperated from the material :-(

That was only the first dissapointment.

I opened the bag and staring at the the top, I see a number of dirt marks,and a round area the size of a 20 pence piece that appears to be fairly worn through the material.

The tent itself looked like it had been rush packed into the bag as it was all over the shot and not rolled neatly.

I've not examined it further than the visible area at the top, really didn't feel like taking it out after that.

I'm guessing it was ex demonstration or something.

Not exactly the happiest camper for £2000.

Will see what happens, have contacted their customer support.

Oh Dexta that's a disappointment for you I hope you get it sorted with a replacement asap.

Horrid feeling isn't it, so excited then it all goes out of the window.

Maybe not an an ex-demo, but at the very least, it appears someone's had it, taken it out, most likely pitched it in the garden, then returned it, for whatever reason.
Either way, that's not ideal for a new tent, and certainly not for one in that price bracket. The least you should expect is a factory rolled/packed tent, not someone's reject!

Ok, it may be just the colour they didn't like, and there's nothing wrong with it, but that's the shop's problem. It shouldn't be yours!

Hope they sort a replacement out for you. Let us know the outcome. Good luck.

The carpet for the Illusion 800 that we ordered at the NEC has just arrived - hopefully that means that the tent and footprint will be following shortly!!

Well the tent has arrived. Slightly overawed by the size & weight of it packed up in its bag! The footprint hasn't arrived yet - apparently that's coming next week.

If the weather is dry on Saturday, I might try to pitch it up in our garden.

Just thought I'd revive the thread with a pic of my first on-site pitch of the Concorde M with awning...

I'll post a review in due course, but will wait until it's a had trip with a decent rain test. Sadly (/ happily?!) The first trip was dry weather.

Suffice to say we REALLY like it so far.

That's a lovely looking tent and pitched well too so glad you liked your new tent.
