Hi, as the title says, can anyone recommend me a decent quick erect tent please?. Something we can stand up in and with room for a small table and 2 chairs so we can shelter out the rain. It will be used very, very occasionally so not looking for anything too expensive but it must be fairly robust to be able to deal with rain and wind as we're not fair weather campers. We want something for when we fancy a change of scenery from our seasonal pitch. Thanks in advance.

A Quechua seconds base they go up in seconds we have used one as a quick put up if we need a loo in a hurry and can stand anything our British weather can throw at them.
Agree with the Quechua suggestion - we have one of their Base Seconds four-man which isn't quite high enough to stand up in but is so quick to put up and withstood a thunderstorm on its first trip out.
Just make sure you know how to put them down before you go on-site with them!
My Coleman Da Gama 6 (or the 4 or 5 man versions) would fit the bill and having just 3 poles is about as easy as it gets.
There are many tents of similar design so my suggestion is that you go for a tent with 3-4 metal poles which are easier than fibreglass poles and the tent just clips to them on the outside. Metal poles make the tent more stable in wind and give a uniform headroom throughout the tent.
Also the tent should have the bedroom pod at the back and a living area at the front with large panoramic windows. A sewn in groundsheet keeps the bugs and the wind out and also enables the tent to be erected 'in one' without having to keep disconnecting the inner bedroom pod.
Any tunnel tent with the poles in line is going to be fairly easy to erect whereas tents with poles running in all directions are more difficult and may take two or more people to erect them.
