Hi Bellatom,
If you know that measurements that you need, its worth looking at other makes of carpet too. Looking at the current vangos if you specifically want a vango carpet, look at dimensions see some in the flesh and go prepared with tape measure.
Again with the footprint, find a tent that matches the Samara's dimensions, or buy a large ground sheet or pondliner to fit, I've done this before.
Going back to carpets, if you have a go outdoors nearby, I think their hi gear carpets are a better colour match to the greens, I was going to buy a van go and find a higear tent carpet, even if it meant cutting to size.
I bought a kampa tent in the end, but had a gelert carpet rather than the kampa one, as I prefer the color better.
Just a bit of research is needed
Hope that helps.

There's also This (PDF) that someone kindly posted on here a while back.
Might come in handy, as a lot of tent carpets show the tent they are made for, rather than revealing their dimensions.

Hi,
Don't know if you managed to get a footprint for the tent, but I purchased the Samara 600 today and this was the sales assistants advice...
"The footprint is rare now as discontinued, BUT it is the same dimensions as the newer Vango Evoque 600 and this footprint is still readily available"
Probably the same scenario with the carpet.
Hope this helps.

I certainly am. New to all this camping business too (well as a family camper, I've done backpacking as a singleton!)

Thanks. We've decided to get a tent to get some weekends away (to start) as a family away from the house!
Northwood/Birches Head area.
