Hi , just received our Vermont xlp last week, looking at the outwell how to pitch video we seem to have 3 extra poles all three identical ie 4 segments about 7 feet in length one end has black plastic caps and the other has spikes , it is the 2015 model I am guessing that they are perhaps for propping the door up or something ,does anyone know for sure what they are for ? also in the outwell vid it shows the top curved steel sections going through blissfully easy , have other owners found this to be so or have they got any tips on an easier method , cheers I am just trying to be prepared as poss before we pitch it for the first time in August as for pitching it before hand I am trusting it to luck as there seems to be no sign of damage to the packaging and its bag , thanks for any advice

They're the king poles to hold either the side doors to make a canopy or the the whole front section of the panorama front to create a canopy
Sorry no photos of the doors up but this was our 2013 model
Think the only difference is the colour
Amazing tent hope you enjoy it

Pitch it using the cross camping method and it flys up

Hi. We have just purchased a Vermont xlp but haven't had it out of the bag yet so I can't help, but I will be very interested to see the replies.
You could join the Outwell Camping Group on facebook. There are a lot of 'experts' on there!
OOps sorry - now I see the replies. The experts are here! Lol
