Hi.....I am toying with getting a klondike as i want a bell and the weight means it's the lightest polycotton one I can find.
I will get the carpet but have any owners been able to find a ready made footprint that fits or do you trim your own ?
Also, I can see that the optional inner looks unlikely to fit 2 double airbeds but can the divider be removed to make one big pod that will take a big double ?
Finally, has anyone found a tarp that works ?
many thanks

Before you make your purchase consider the 10T 5m Bell tent which can be got on a German website called Camping EU but they also sell through Amazon. The Klondike does have some benefits such as the separate groundsheet but the prices of the 10T are very good, and the fabric is very strong and almost like full canvas not polycotton.

I bought a 4m one (no inner for it) and am impressed with how sturdy it is. It's a ton weight though it just goes to show that I couldn't have coped with a full canvas one.

Hi I have a Robens Klondike with carpet - camped for a week in it over half term - family of 4 (on camp beds)plus an extra child on a sim for a few nights - no problems at all. Quick to pitch, not too heavy and dried quickly too. I bought a Bell Tent 2.5m x 2.5m triangular 'wing' for extra shelter which worked well. They are reasonably priced so am going to buy another one to go on the other side - also very quick to fit.
My local dealer cut me down a Kampa footprint for a reasonable price.
I asked on another forum re the inner - had a few replies saying don't bother - you don't realy need it and it makes it hard to fit the beds in.
