I noticed a small hole in the groundsheet when I packed up on our last trip on the edge of the reinforced area where the bedroom pods are anchored down (probably from DS tripping over the threshold)
I tried some tenacious tape this week but due to the thicker reinforced groundsheet being quite bumpy it's not sticking well so after reading back on the forum Gorilla tape seems to be the next thing to try.
The thing is I'd rather it doesn't show so I am wondering if the clear Gorilla tape sticks as well as the black - is it inflexible like the tenacious tape?
Main priority is a sound repair but an invisible one too would be a big bonus
Thank you all

Following an accident (Read sheer stupidity) with a pair of scisors, I was left with a slash about 3" or 4" long. Thanks to advice on here, my results seemed to be "The best of both world's"...
Gorilla tape underside, Tenacious tape top side.
As the general advice for Tenacious Tape seems to be to round off (Oval is fine) the edges, so there are no actual corners, I did the same to the Gorilla tape too.
Stayed firm, stayed dry, and never showed any signs of peeling off/lifting at edges etc. The perfect repair, you might say!

I know most people know of Tenacious tape but imagine Tenacious tape but it has a bit of a stretch to it and it can spring back as well and is stickier...
Now go onto YouTube and look for Tear-Aid...

Thanks everyone, I got it out again this evening and the patch looks like it's stuck more firmly after another day with the tent rolled up.
I'll see it goes when we do three nights next weekend as it's a small hole and we have a footprint. I've also cut a patch for the inside for when it's pitched. If it's not stuck well I'll get the ape on the job.
I didn't realise the tenacious tape doesn't stick for good and it is also peelable tape until I applied it/read the instructions fully so it has made me less sure it will hold. It's less tenacious than I thought!
Thanks again everyone for taking the time to reply, so helpful as usual

Mine's still in place nearly 3 years later. I don't have the tent anymore, but a family member does. That goes for both the Gorilla tape to underside, and Tenacious on the top side.
Having said that, I still have a decent amount on the roll, but if and when I run out, (or it lets me down!) I'll give that Tear Aid a go next time, due to the positive comments on these forums, from folk who know what they're talking about.
