Help! After much debate we purchased a vango illusion 800 (to be used as a 6 person), however after Force 8 gales in Anglesey last weekend the front airbeam collapsed many many times and it didn't seem to sit right on the grass, door panels not flat etc. Anyway, returned the tent to Winfields Outdoors in Chester who were great, tested it and said the beams and stitching are twisted so basically it's caput! 😫 They can't get us another due to stock issues so we are left with choices of the Inspire or Eclipse. We chose the illusion because of the zip up porch, and in fact it was easier to also use for a quick toilet trip for the kids in private. Now if we get the inspire the porch is open so we've lost that. Any opinions and or advice pls??

We've had
Vango eternity 600
Vango Eden 600
And know have an outdoor Rev 6.0xt there's a lot of bad press about the OR but thankfully ours is ok and a great layout but it is big really big
I like the inspire with the zip on porch

I think most places are sold out of the Illusion now... I have to say I like the Vango Evoque and then add the zip on awning, you get a slightly bigger tent than the Illusion but you get the option of using the Evoque on its own for a quick weekend away or the tent and awning for a longer trip. If weight, pack size and cost are not so much of an issue the Vango Euphoria 600 and zip on awning is a great set up. As mentioned by Paul & Kate we try and stock the best inflatable tents and as we display most we know a lot about them.

As long as the evoque has the same side zip up doors and zip up windows and pockets the illusion has I think we might well get that, although the extra cost is a bit of a pain. I've seen a few illusions in stock, and it's a 2 car trip for us with it at the mo with only a 3 series touring & a roof box. Now just need to find some more Wales bound nice beach campsites other than St David's in Anglesey lol. Any ideas? Many thanks!
HI, it maybe a bit late in the day now, but we had a problem with our Illusion 800 that meant it had to be changed, leaking ground sheet.
We had the same issue as no Illusions available and where given similar options, but as we also bought the Illusion for the zip up porch, we were offered the Inspire with the zip on awning as a replacement for our Illusion at no extra cost. If you haven't already decided, you may be able to go back to them with that option.

Hi Michael,
We ended up just getting the Inspire as we wanted to buy it from somewhere we could easily return should there be an issue again. Tbf it was ok, less pockets inside & vents but basically same. They tried to charge us for the beam that goes straight across the porch tho which we said we wouldn't pay for as it was in their shop one to view & to charge extra was just not on. The zip on porch makes it massive tho, that's my only worry as some sites have a limit don't they plus the extra £340 or so cost to us is a bit mad given the cost of the original tent!
We're off to Abersoch, Cim Farm next week anyway so will see how it stands up to the winds there lol,
Cheers, Kerry
