Last year we bought an outwell nevada xlp. It's a great tent for our family of four which includes two older teenage children. We now wish to buy the extras, such as a footprint, carpet and a front extension to use on longer trips away. The Nevada xlp model appears to be discontinued. I contacted Outwell and understandably they are reticent about recommending gear made for other models of tent. Does anyone have any advice about substituting other models of extension, footprint or carpet? Can anyone recommend a substitute as a good match for the nevada xlp? Thanks

Can't comment on the extension, but there is no reason why you cannot use a different tents footprint or carpet. You just need to check the sizes to get one that fits. I think Vango and Kampa also do universal fit carpets. Easiest way to do it is find a tent with a similar footprint/living area size and then check the dimensions of the relevant carpet/footprint. Just remember the footprint needs to be slightly smaller than the actual tent footprint.
