Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. I purchased this tent August 2014, used it for two weeks in Cornwall, it delivered what was advertised and provided what we required and we had a very enjoyable holiday. It was packed away clean and dry. However, on arrival at our next camping stop this weekend we found it wouldn't inflate and on closer inspection discovered that many of the pipes that fed the air beams were perished, so obviously it wouldn't inflate. So now i need to hunt down my receipt or failing that can anyone tell me the sort of cost I would be looking at for repairs?

if you cant find your receipt check your bank statement
that should provide proof of purchase ,I would take it back it will have at least a 12 month warranty

Had the same problem with Kampa Southwold 4+2. I did exactly the same packed away after first use clean and dry. Followed the instructions to the letter. After being stored in the spare bedroom, I took it out yesterday and it wouldn't pump up and on closer inspection found all the pipes had perished and split very close to the isolation valves.
I am going to try and repair it if I don't get any luck with Kampa. I going to try with tube of a slightly smaller diameter (braided) to fit in the original pipe then glue it (q-bond) in and then glue the splits. Then if successful when packing it away I'm going to put packing around the pipes.
Been to the local camping store who are a Kampa Stockist but I didn't get it from there. The nice girl on the counter said "As it out of warranty to contact Kampa, basically".
I have wrote on Kampa facebook wall and emailed them. Tomorrow I am going to phone then.
Under the Sale of Goods Act you are entitled to a product to be fit for purpose and to last a reasonable amount of time. Warranties are a bit of a red herring really because under law if a product had a fault at the time of purchase or doesn't reasonably last you are still covered even beyond the warranty.
You would expect a tent to last more than one season, so even if out of warranty and as long as you haven't caused damage then you are covered.
You're contract is with the retailer so you must deal with them in the first instance, you don't need the receipt but you need to prove purchase so as mrbino says a bank statement or anything to prove this should be good enough. Before you even attempt any repairs speak to the retailer and if possible show them the damage. If you cannot get the tent to the retailer then take plenty of photos to illustrate the defects and email them to the retailer.
The important thing to bare in mind is that it is up to the retailer to prove the defect was not present at the time of purchase.

Thanks for the replies, luckily on credit card statement, taken back to Winfields of Haslingden who are sending it back to Kampa tomorrow, hopefully the issued will be resolved before our main camping holiday in 3 weeks. Winfields have said they will provide a loan tent if ours is still away, good customer service 😄
A lot of this is probably down to Kampas excellent approach to customer service. Makes all the difference, if only some other high profile tent manufacturers could be as good.

Kampa are very good, I managed to bend one of the joints on a steel roof pole when we bought our Croyde 6. Probably my fault but I spoke to the retailer and within days Kampa had sent me a complimentary replacement pole!
