Hi , does anyone pitch their bear lakes with the ZIG zipped in. If so any problems doing it this way. The outwell video shows it being zipped in after the fly is up but Ive always had sewn in ground sheets so not sure why you would want that extra step.

Any advice gratefully received as my new tent BL4 is in the post to me.

I always pitch it with ZIG attached and bedrooms left in, makes it heavier but far quicker

I put mine in after as far more chance of getting the tent dirty and it's lighter but one extra job in the two hour arrival of many jobs before we get to the best part of red meat and glasses full.

We had a new style BL6. The fly sheet was pretty heavy without the substantial groundsheet. We also used the groundsheet to roll the poles up in to stop them getting damaged. Never really had a problem zipping in the ground sheet, but may have had one lifting the bag had it been all in one...come to think of it, not sure we'd have got it all in one bag

thanks for all the advice, new tent went up smoothly once I realised I had missed one of the ring and pins and had to start again doooh. I noticed there are loops just where the poles slot in the fly 2015 model, are these for even more guy ropes or some other purpose.

why is one tent never enough
