I have just returned from a fantastic fortnight in the new forest camping at Croft Cottage. the Kids had a great time but we have one issue with the bear lake and that is the rain. We were sitting in the front extension eating our lunch when the wind changed direction and we all got wet. what we need is a front door or vestibule. The croyde 6 vestibule looks like it would fit but I cannot get one of them for love nor Money. has anyone else got any ideas?

Hi. I know it's been a few years from your original post but came across your entry after a quick search after coming to the same conclusion to you. Had a great week in our Bear lake 6 and we have the front extension as an additional area (an optional extra- in addition to the narrow shelter that comes with the original) . Amazing tent in absolutely every way but would benefit so much if this extension could be sealed off in high winds/rain .My question is did you ever find a suitable vestibule. Know you thought of the Croyde 6. Thanks
For anyone still interested the kampa Croyde 6/8 vestibule does indeed fit the Bear Lake 6 front extension. I tried it after heavy wind driven rain had soaked almost everything inside it. Colour obviously doesn't match. Be sure to order the one for the poled Croyde tent as they also do an 'air' version which doesn't have the 2 straps that you need to connect to the the metal pole frame. Lower guy lines from the front extension have to be pitched inside the vestibule but that's fine as the slope of it is generous giving about 3 ft of extra floor space. The higher 2 guy lines of the front extension have to go through the existing 2 small openings in the vestibule but and as fixing points for the guys on the Croyde differ by a few inches you are better off moving the fixing point of these guys on your extension from the eyelets to directly tying to the poles. Minor differences really. No don't need to cut or modify anything.
