Hi, I have just bought a second hand BL6 and would like to add front extension. Does anyone know if the new extension fits onto the old model, it looks like the zip might fit where the sun shade fits. Falling that dos the Montana or ammarillo fit well. I don't seen to be able to find an original one.

New style Bear Lake won't fit the old model...sorry, too tall. Front extensions for old style BL's are like rocking horse poo, and on the rare occasion they come up for sale, can go for as much as the tent

The Amarillo might, as it's basically a polyester Bear Lake, but I'd check the height and width first...wouldn't like to say for sure.

We sold our Bear Lake side extension this week. They do come up from time to time..certainly more often than the front. Good luck with the search

The old type Montana 6 extension will fit but it's polyester

The new 2016 Bear Lake is reverting to the ever popular flat front design and there will be the traditional open fronted extension as well, all in the same fabric and colour as previous years.
