I have just bought a 2nd hand trailer that needs new wheels and tyres.
The current ones are 145/10 but I have seen that the 500 x 10 are cheaper, (on a 4" PCD).
Any reason reason why I should not go for the cheaper option?
The trailer size is 5.5ft x 3.5ft and is mainly used for camping, nothing too heavy.

for wheels you need:
Correct PCD. Could be 4 inch or 100mm but slightly different.
Correct stud hole size
Correct hole profile to suit your nuts or bolts.
Correct offset. Looking end on is the web in the middle offset to one side or the other

I do know that navver
, mine are no offset and 4" PCD as stated, with the 3/8" stud not the 100mm and M12
Just wondered what the difference in tyre was between the 145/10 and the 500 x 10

If you look through the various sizes of tyres
here,
it does appear that 500/10 can be used as a direct replacement for both 145/10 & 5.20/10.

Excellent, thanks for the link.
Looking at them both the 500 x 10 has a slightly larger loading 355Kg Vs 325Kg
So I think I will go for the cheaper option.
