Has anyone ever put a Hi Gear Frontier 6 porch on the Oasis 6 tent. I'm wondering how it will fit. I know the measurements are different by 10 cms each side but wondered if there was something I could do before I buy one. The porch for the Oasis is completely open and we're wanting one that zips up!

We have the Hi gear Oasis 6 with the porch & you are right it doesn't zip up , but everything kept dry.
10 cms isn't much, maybe buy it, try it in the garden & if it doesn't work take it back for a refund

Thanks for the reply, but we need to zip up to hide all the cooking equipment at night and my grandsons bike too. Maybe we will try the other porch and return it if it's not suitable. Hope they would take it back though!:)

accordong to the Go website, your oasis 6 is 440cm wide
the frontier6 tent is only 390cm wide.

the porch needs to be wider than the tent to comfortably fit over the front. it wont work well at all the other way around.

you need a bigger porch than the frontier 6 offers.

have you considered using a large tarp to fit over the front of your tent - which in the evenings you can lower to hide things from view?

do keep in mind that a zipped up front is no deterrent to anyone who wants to take your cooking equipment or bike... a pen knife sees easily to that - its thin material - not a solid wood / metal door they need to cut through!
theres a thread on here recently about a tent that was burgled whilst the folks were sound asleep inside...

basically, dont leave anything in your tent / porch thats of value to you!.
