Bell tents do seem to be rather like Marmite, you either love em or hate em!
Our main tent is a pyramid (Cabanon Guadeloupe) which is perfect to two of us. We are both around 5'7" and don't find ourselves stooping to go through the door. I did get rid of camping cupboards because of the lack of wall space, but it made me downsize our kit into a single box, which is a good thing.
We have just bought a baby belltent of 3m, just for quick breaks and festivals when we will just be using it for sleeping. There is a fab bell tent owners page on Facebook with all manner of tips and photos, which I have found really helpful in thinking about the internal layout we can use. Will post pics when we have used it.
