I've been a happy owner of a Cabanon Guadeloupe for about 8 years now. After a very wet sojourn in Brittany last year, I determined to make us a proper front porch, rather than face another holiday dependent on just a side-panel and a tarp for extra shelter.

Then I found some 3-4 year old internet posts about a sun canopy for the Guadeloupe? This could solve our problem! But I cannot find one in stock online. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I ask my local camping shop to order one in? Can I order direct from Cabanon?

Hi, I would start by enquiringly of the places that have it on the catalogue online ( but currently out of stock) to see when they will be back in stock.

We have the same tent ( finally found one second hand last year) and I luuuuurve it so much. I think we shall be doing the same as you and getting the canopy.

It's a fabulous tent isn't it! I bought one on ebay in 2008, after reading some reviews on here (back when I used to post here a lot).

And yes, good idea. I shall do just that!

Yes ours was an eBay find, near enough to arrange to collect it. I love being under proper cotton canvas again.

Hi i used to work for a company called The Forest Camping Centre down in Dorset and whilst i was there the owner had a canopy made up at a local PVC and Canvas repair company. We then invited Cabanon to take a look and they were impressed enough to put them into production.

My advice would be to get hold of Cabanon direct on their Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Cabanon-257157574426649/

Failing that get in touch with Attwools as i believe they still deal with them and could help. :)

Collected canopy today, along with stepson. There is some mouse chewing in evidence (on the canopy not the stepson) so I may need to source some Cabanon canvas for a repair patch!

I have not got an original peg bag, otherwise I would use it. I have contacted Camping and travel store, a Cabanon dealer, and have a number to ring them on..... The plot continues!

I just hope the canopy is the right one. My husband had aCabanon pyramid tent when married 12 years ago. He and his ex wife are sure that we the Guadeloupe we now own is exactly the same dimensions so the canopy should fit.

I can't wait for a dry weekend so I can test it out on the garden!
