Hi everyone.
i am trying to buy a hi gear Mojave 5 Porch.
i phoned my local go outdoors and they said that because the tent has been discontinued they no longer have a porch in stock.
he advised me to come to this website and ask if anyone knows where to source one or what other porch fits.
hoping you can help :)
had a quick look around and the site is great and informative.
thanks for your time

Gelert Lakesbury is the same tent, but also discontinued.   You might struggle to be honest.

What branch did you call?
I'm not 100% sure but I may have seen one in Basingstoke on Saturday in their clearance section.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but they might be worth a call.

The 5cm height difference will be OK, but not sure about the width difference.
I believe the Vango Icarus 600 was also a very similar size but, unfortunately, again it is discontinued.

Keep looking on ebay as well as other auction sites too as well as here.
The porch does make a nice difference, especially if camping for more than a couple of days (have mine carpeted too).

One thing I have noticed with a lot of tents now compared to the Mojave 5 is the 5 berths seem to have shrunk in width, so have a look at some of the 6 berths to see how close a match they are.

Good look in finding one.

Just a thought on that, the HiGear Fronteer 6 currently being sold at Gooutdoors is only 10cm wider than the Mojave, maybe call in and check the height to see how close a match it is and how it could fit the Majave front shape.

The Coleman Classic awning is adaptable to any tent, as the tension band can pull the pole feet closer to adjust the height nd width of the arch.

hi.
yes found one.
its green but good fit. loads of room and hardly any gap ontop. sides are about12inch gap each side near bottom but can pull it in a little tighter.. i would say near perfect..
it was the Coleman Da gama front extension 6 tent porch, with full closing front..

On a similar note, I'm also looking for the green (emerald) porch to fit my Hi-Gear Kalahari Elite 8. I only purchased it at the end of last summer and have only used it twice but it has been discontinued and replaced with a blue model.

Although the blue one has only been available a few weeks Go_outdoors Customer Services tell me there are no green ones (they have magically disappeared) and they have no way to get one. This is a little disturbing as my existing one is under warranty so I'm not sure what they'll do in the event of an issue!

I'm wondering if the Zenobia 6 porch would fit. It also has been changed for a blue model but they still have a limited stock of the green porch (although still selling it for £100!)

Alternatively can anyone recommend another which might fit? Go Outdoors have 'warned' me that using another porch could cause problems

When I orginally bought the tent package (with porch) I was told by store staff that it isn't possible to fit 2 porches to it. The other day though I saw a youtube video of someone who had quite easily done exactly that. The extra space for sitting/storage during the day and a portapotty at night would be invaluable.

I just searched on Ebay and followed the search. I got a notification when someone posted one for sale and managed to get one. Luckily. Mojave is not just square inside so it would be difficult to get one to fit. Because the front has angles. The mojave carpet is a beautiful carpet.
Also keep an eye out on the Facebook market place. Good luck.
