Looking to make the move to airbeam tents and there is a great clearance offer on the 2015 model of the Vango Evoque 600 at JR Leisure; reduced down to £594

Been looking at 2016 Kampa Hayling 4 and 6 air tents and possibly the new Outwell Flagstaff 6 but getting this for pretty much the same money as the Kampas and a darn sight less than the Outwell, seems too good an offer to turn down.

Do I press Pay Now?

JR leisure have had a shop in Leicester near us since I was a kid (they've moved premises a few times) so are a long standing company should there be any after sales issues. Just make sure any extras you might also want for it like the carpet and footprint can still be bought too.....often one years model will not fit the next or be discontinued

Very good advice, bought the outwell hornet on sale last year, could resist the discount at the end off the year but wasn't able to get a groundsheet. Lucky enough a found one that was just 10 cm out so went for it.
Checked the net and you can get both carpet and groundsheet for it so if you buy the tent make sure you get the other things as soon as possible.

Thanks for the recommendation. Now this will be for just 2 of us (I know, ridiculously indulgent) so don't really need a canopy as well; that would be overkill. As long as the built in porch is sufficient to sit under that will be fine. We have that on our Kampa Croyde 4 and just want something similar with whatever we replace it with.

They are also selling the carpet reduced and you can still get the footprint from some other sellers.

i think this is a big tent for just 2. also for us the porch in all mangos is not big enough to sit 5 with table and chairs hence porch which is much bigger than any built in canopy. it may be fine for 2.

we went though the stage of taking so much camping gear and having a really big tent and spent so much time packing and erecting stuff we now enjoy our holidays more by being efficient in what we have and take but comfortable also. personally each to their own but this is way too big for 2.

I can understand your thoughts about its size for 2 but compared with our Kampa Croyde 4 which was again bought principally for just the 2 of us and made for a very comfortable camping experience over a 2 week holiday, the Evoque is only 25 cm longer. Where it is significantly bigger is in the width, providing an additional 110 cm.
If I can find a 4 person air tent of the same dimensions as the Croyde 4 as a minimum, with at least one side door with eyebrow porch over and a built in porch under which 2 can sit (not needed for dining under) at a similar price point than I will happily consider that as an alternative.
At the moment I can't find quite the same. Even the 2016 Hayling 4 Air doesn't have quite the same features as our conventional non air Croyde 4.

The difference between 2015 and 2016 models, is that the air connector is now on the out side, making pumping up easyer.

Having now spoken to the retailer the Evoque won't fit the bill as the front porch is not really a proper porch and can't be sat under for shelter (the Eclipse or Inspire are the models that would suit) so now looking at alternatives; possibly a 2015 version of the Kampa Croyde 6 Air

They do a front canopy which gives good protection, more so if you put up, a windbreak for the sides. I think the canopy can be purchased for £80.
