Who's had one, how was it remedied and how common are they? Obviously, I'm referring to inflatable tents as I'm seriously considering kicking the Quasar in to touch and going for a more comfortable and dare I say it more sensible (hard hat on) approach to middle age camping.
Can you get the old Dunlop puncture repair kit out or does your trip go belly up? If Unrepairable, are they tubes cheap to replace?
Any thoughts, advice or hints would be very helpful in assisting with my decision. I'm looking at Outwell tents, if that makes a difference?

Still not got my new Kampa Oxwich 5 Air yet but Kampa do an "Inflatable repair kit" which can be found HERE not used it in anger as yet but it's there if you want it.

I've not heard of a puncture to an airbeam, but in theory they could be fixed with TearAid etc. Normally when they fail it seems to be with a bang and results in a long tear, even damage to the tent roof. Last year was all about Outwells exploding, the year before Kampa was getting mentioned a lot. Normally the cause was high temperatures causing the air in the beam to expand, and poor seam stitching/glueing on the sleeve that holds the beam giving way under the pressure. Once the sleeve fails the beam rips. They sound like they get more reliable every year though as these issues surface and get addressed.

Type that into youtube after 7:30 am 30/03/16 and you should be ok or if someone can take it and link it in a fresh new post then crack on.

Thanks for all your replies, really helpful. I doubt I'll have to worry about expansion due to high temperatures. If I so much as mention a few days away, rain rolls in and temperatures plummet.
