Hi
I have been looking for a family tent for quite some time now and we stumbled across this one at a local camping shop. Does anyone have any experience of this tent and if so, is it any good? We like the fact that it has bedrooms at either end. We go camping in France so we don't spend a lot of time in the tent, we just use it as a base and to sleep in.
Any thoughts/opinions/other recommendations would be great.
Thanks
Scott

Take a look here
I bought a different style of Sunncamp a couple of months ago (see my profile). I haven't had chance to use it yet but having erected it in the garden it seems pretty good quality.

It's a great tent. I don't own one but I have seen one. It's one of the only tents that has a four bedroom pod at one end, then two separate two bedroom pods at the other end. Not a dividing curtain, but completely separate. Great for warring siblings! And...best of all if you don't need one of the smaller ones, just remove it an enjoy your L shaped living space.
This tent seems to be unique in this feature. I have yet to find another that does the same thing.

I had one of these a few years back. We had the model that was made exclusively for Outdoor Megastore (sadly no longer with us)which had a different name and slightly upgraded HH; otherwise the same tent. I did a review in the Tent Review section on UKCS. Look under Sunncamp Kansas 8. My review is there along with some of my photos. If you can, get a Verano extension as well (I'm pretty sure they are still available). We had this attached to the main front door and used it as the kitchen keeping the living area in the tent completely free as family space. The Sunncamp carpets are good too. Unlike a lot of manufacturers who moved to more coarse carpets the Sunncamp ones are soft and fleecy.

Thanks for the info. I went and bought the shadow 800 and it is currently up in the garden waiting for the rain!

I had the polycotton version and used it in France, it was excellent and great value for money.
You will have already found out how easy it is to put up.
Enjoy.

Hi Alex and Darren
That is great to know. The tent has been up in the garden for the last 5 days and has survived a heavy downpour! So far so good!
Thanks
Scott

Great to hear, but in all honesty, not surprised; our Sunncamp Vulcan withstood everything nature could throw at it when all around were giving up the ghost. If they had more dealers they'd be up there with tents costing a £100 more.
