I bought a Quechua Decathlon tent as a "distressed purchase" in France relatively cheaply. It ended up lasting me longer than more expensive tents I have purchased and done much research about buying. (Lasted over 5 years and was only retired last year when I obtained a campervan). As far as I am concerned they are a good buy.

I've been using a 4.2 family tent as a weekend tent for the last 3 or so years - it's a great tent in my opinion. I've used it as a 1 man to even squeezing 4 in there - but it is a squeeze depending on bed arrangements. Just folding it back up after using it is interesting.

That's perfect fellas it was a toss-up between Quechua or Vango but you've made my mind up for me as I'm only going to use 4/5 time a year for Longbow Archery shoots ......Decathlon here we come

We have a pop up 3 man. I bought it for my OH and son but in the end we all used it, 4 of us. It was great getting pitched up and down. It's so quick and takes up little land space. We used it only for weekends so fine, used for 3 or 4 years .

I never used the guy lines, last year it seemed to sag a bit on the top but I wondered if using the guy lines would sort that out. That's the only thing that seemed to alter.

Our sleeping mats (standard decathlon roll closed foam cheap mats) only fitted across the way but as there were 4 of us and it fitted 4 across so was fine. You may find this too.

Def earned its keep in our house. We will keep hold of it even now we have bought a larger family tent. Might come in handy again.

Lorna
