Got a Taiga 600XL and put it up for first time today to check it was OK - loved it, up in minutes and quality seems excellent. So far so good - then I went to put it away...

Deflated fine but problem came when I tried to get it back in the bag. I have watched online of a method rolling it onto itself but it goes onto the flysheet each time so not too keen on that. My old method (With Coleman Mackenzie Cabin 6 so I am used to large SIG tents) is to fold it to the middle on both sides, and then again on itself so the flysheet is only touching flysheet. I did that but the air woundn't escape.

Can I have some advice please from people with same tent? How do you do it?

Deflate. Squeeze air to valve with you hands and feet. Fold and fold and then roll from bedrooms to front. Squeezing every bit of air out as you go by lying on it. 8ve always left the side door by inflation points open as suggested too. Never not got it back in bag.

Open all the doors, fold the back into the middle, then the front and keep doing this until you have a flat sausage the width of the bag, then roll towards the side door and the open valves.

I tried this method but found it didn't roll even? I then found the Paul & Kate method and found it easier to do this way and have successfully de-camped around 10 times with the Taiga since. Not questioning your knowledge obviously as you know a lot more about tents than me!

Me and my wife actually managed to fold the taiga smaller than it was from new, with the help of our girls (4 & 6) rolling the air out.

We started from the right, looking back to front, rolling a sausage, slightly smaller than width of the bag, as it gets bigger on each fold. Rolling the tent length ways. Once a nice tight sausage is rolled, I then rolled the sausage up. As tight as humanly possible.   First time we did it was in torrential rain.
We use the footprint to keep groundsheet clean, and wiped out down with microfibre cloths as we were rolling so everything stayed clean.
I re-pitched it in the garden a week or so later when weather was better to dry it out, and there was probably 3ltr of water in it. It soon dried out though.

Great tent. Just short of hanging points fort lights etc. And the curtains are a faff. I wasn't paying over £300 more though for an illusion which is actually a bit smaller, albeit with better fabric.

I've got the vango electric pump to use next time though 😃
