Thanks cross camping. I'm aware of this. I was wondering if anything visual is different. Reason I'm asking is when someone's selling one on the other side of the country, how would a buyer know it is actually the 2016 and not the thinner 2015.
Bighed, you may want to be very careful buying a 2016 Illusion 800 at the moment. Vango has quite a few unresolved issues with that model, hence you won't find any new ones on sale at the moment.
The vango logo on the bag has a 50 in an orange triangle for the 50th anniversary.
Mph74 do you know what issues they are having. I have a illusion 800 2016 and have had to fit new airbeams, I have had large pools of water under several bases of the air beams when it rained and the main full width door at the front is really tight, almost impossible to do up!
Hi Paul and Becky, the main problem is the stitching of the sleeves containing the airbeams is defective in some tents causing burst beams and ripped fabric. We had a faulty beam, the door like yours was too tight no matter how I pitched and guyed it out and then finally the main door zip gave out as it was faulty. The pooling of water is one I have heard of in some other makes of tent but not the Illusion. Vango agreed to give us a new tent in early May however they still haven't solved all the issues with the stock so won't send out a new one yet.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
